I am a doctor specialising in digital health and remote care. My clinical training is in anaesthesia/critical care and my PhD explored the intersection of remote monitoring, physiology and human performance under environmental stress.
Digital Health Leadership
In June 2020, I joined Current Health Ltd., a digital health startup developing a proprietary wearable monitoring platform, as their first doctor. During my years there, we achieved a hardware rollout, rapid growth, complex clinical and pharma implementations in the UK and US, Series B funding, and acquisition for $430 M by Best Buy Health. I became the physician responsible for implementations, novel immunotherapies, outcomes research and Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs.
Researcher
I also serve as Independent Medical Officer at the School of Psychology, Sport and Health Sciences, University of Portsmouth. We research physiology, performance, and survival in extreme environments. Staying engaged with this work keeps me connected to both the basic science, and the most complex and demanding real-world applications of remote care.
